Seized Faulty, Modified Silencers Crushed by Road Roller in Hubballi
Hubballi (Karnataka) – In a drive to curb noise pollution and ensure road safety, the Hubballi North Traffic Police have launched a crackdown on vehicles with defective and illegally modified silencers.
The police department has seized several vehicles found to be violating noise regulations. The seized vehicles sported silencers that either did not function properly or had been tampered with to produce louder exhaust sounds.
For a powerful visual deterrent, the Hubballi North Traffic Police adopted a unique method to dispose of the siezed silencers. The seized silencers were crushed using a road roller in the presence of Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime and Traffic), Ravish and North Traffic Inspector Ramesh Gokak, sending a clear message to motorists about the seriousness of the offense.
The police made the motorists to detach the faulty silencers or sporty silencers and made them to fit with the genuine parts in their presence.
